Trilog Cache Traditional Cache

This is our first cache. We wanted to place it in a part of the wood that not many people seem to frequent to encourage more walkers to use it.The cache is in a normal, small, clip top box and contains a log, a pen and a couple of other small items.

Derry's Wood is an area of the larger Wormley Wood and is at its southern end, with best access via Newgate Street Road, although there is no car park here. The cache is about half a mile from this point. The biggest car park is in the north of the wood off White Stubbs Lane, although from here the cache is about 2 miles. There are plenty of paths in the wood, visible on the OS map, to make this a circular experience however.The Woods are the property of the Woodland Trust and are mixed ancient woodland with two other caches. This cache is near a rickety bridge so take care. If approaching from the Newgate Street Road / Hammond Street end, take a path indicated by a post with white paint labelled "Permissive Bridle path."
