The toll road from Gulsvik sør (Gulsvik S) runs northeast to Langvatnet and splits just before Buvatnet. Further, to the north, it follows Vidalen to Valdres and to Sokna in the south. But from Gulsvik sør, 3 kilometers from the toll station, the gravel road makes an additional split to the north and ends at Sørbølsetran parking area. This is also a toll road, with a red metal pole blocking the intersection.
Sørbølseter is idyllic, and as of 2014 there are few private cabins in the immediate vicinity. Plans are underway to build a new and more modern cabin village not far from the seter.
The cache at the intersection is easily reached without crossing the toll barricade. Park near the trash container on the opposite side of the road. In the winter and wetter seasons, appropriate footwear is advisable.
There are several caches laid out on the way to Sørbølseter and further along the DNT trail to Storekrak, strategically placed in scenic areas and places of interest. A few of the caches are quite remote but well worth the effort.
