Geocache Description:

The Adena Spring Shelter is located just about midway from either end of the Highland Section of the Pine Mountain Trail

The Adena Springs shelter. Shelter is two tiered with room for 10-12. There is a picnic table under shelter with fire pit and food pole nearby. There is also a privy located back behind the shelter.

There is also two water sources located near the shelter. One is .10 mile down the hill to the right, and the other is .20 miles from the shelter on the left of the trail going down.

While hiking the Highland Section of the Pine Mountain Trail with KickenChicken we stayed overnight at the shelter, and refilled our water supply the next morning before continuing our hike.

While hiking to the shelter we keep wondering how close we were getting to it, and we thought that if there was a geocache located there it would be easy to see.

So now, you can tell how far you are from the shelter when hiking to it. Plus, you can get a well-deserved smiley when you get there!

Now let's see who wants to hike way out here for a cache.

(Permission to hide this geocache given by geocaching volunteer contact for BIP.)
