Geocache Description:

This is a great semi-easy float down the South Fork of the Shenandoah River from Island Ford to Elkton. You may access the river at public boat access listed on this cache page:SF Shenandoah River Adventure

Cache container is a water tight small pill bottle just hanging around and will require some monkey skills to get to container.....on a island in the middle of the river.

WARNING: DO NOT TRY TO ACCESS CACHE FROM LAND....AS IT IS PRIVATE PROPERTY ON BOTH THE NORTH AND SOUTH RIVER BANKS ON EITHER SIDE OF ISLAND!!!!!

Total trip takes approx. 5 hours with normal fishing pace and was a total of 6.35 miles....All of the "rapids" are very manageble and mostly ripples with 3 stretches a tad more challenging :)
