Geocache Description:

This is a continuation of the series of caches I have placed on the seawall at Dymchurch. It's a great place for walking and cycling as well as enjoying the beach.

For more information on the history of the seawall please look at my Martello Cache. Please can you try to replace the cache so it will be easy to retrieve by the next cacher. Thanks.

Knocke cache is named after the knockes (jetties or groynes) that were built out to the sea in order to break the force of the waves. Sections of the wall were named after the knockes - Nerve Knocke, Spittleman Knocke, Gap Knocke, Beacons Knocke, Church Knocke, Watch House Knocke and High Knocke. The name High Knocke lives on as the name of the road opposite.
