This is one of a number of caches highlighting the original system of tracks and lanes around the village. Unfortunately it is not a nice circle because so many caches already exist in the north of the Parish.
The track along the fence line was of major importance when the lime kiln and the associated lignite mine were in operation at Greencliff. It was used again in the 1980's when Eva5 was wrecked and came ashore near the old kiln. It was cut up on the beach and all the metal taken up the track and sold for scrap.
