The cache is located on the end of Damon Point. This used to be a State Park but a few years ago the city of Ocean Shores took it over. The city encourages geocaching here as it directs tourists etc. to discover the many wonderful attractions. Finding the cache involves about a 1 1/4 easy level walk on sand and partially on the old washed out road.I can make it most of the way on my mountain bike!
This a small container with limited contents. The shortest way to get to the cache is to walk on the north side of the spit and then transition to what's left of the old road and follow it to the old parking circle. The cache is a short distance from there.Alternately you can hike either side of the spit and eventually approach the cache. It's about 4 miles to completely walk around the spit.
