Old Lanes of Abbotsham 8 Traditional Cache

This is one of a number of caches highlighting the original system of tracks and lanes around the village. Unfortunately it is not a nice circle because so many caches already exist in the north of the Parish.

This cache shows where the old road went through the self contained hamlet of Riccards Down. The Heart of Oak cottage was originally the hamlet pub. The bridge was the scene of a tragic accident when a cyclist has hit by one of the earliest lorries in the area owned by Buckleigh Laundary
