Chameleon 2 Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

TheMadJester: The cache was right where it should be but, due to several issues with BK management who apparently didnt appreciate the business this hide brought in, I am archiving this cache. I retrieved the cache and may find another location for those that werent able to make the grab. Sorry everyone.

Geocache Description:

This is version 2 of this cache. There was some discontent with the previous setup and coordinates so I shut it down. I was tempted to archive it but decided to revamp it instead.

So, in my frustration I decided to make Chameleon 2 over the top like no cache I’ve ever seen. It was unique before but I completely redesigned the setup and location to make it more challenging and more fun. I, of course, picked a spot that will still utilize the terrain to its fullest and maximize the number of possible hiding places. Coordinates always jump and vary from day to day. We all know this. Use your geo-senses.

I also decided to have some fun with this cache so there are some surprises. One surprise is that the tool is still in play, in the general area and easy to find, but you may or may not need it now. You will have to find the cache to figure it out.

Once you have spotted the tool LEAVE IT THERE! Make sure it stays in its original location for the next cacher. That goes for anything and everything in the area. Do NOT move, pile up or throw ANYTHING out of the area. Doing so shows no caching etiquette, won’t help you and ruins the experience for those that follow you. You also don’t know if anything you find in the area may have some hidden meaning.

As in version 1 it is also NOT necessary to destroy any of the landscape. DO NOT pull up any plastic or, in any way, tear up the area. I have not and will not ever hide a cache that would require destruction of the area to find it. That being said, prepare for frustration. Embrace it. Understand that it will happen and tearing up the area won’t help.

Now, believe it or not, I think you will all have fun on this cache. How you ask? Well, it’s because….oh no, I’m not gonna give it away. You will find out soon enough. Caching is supposed to be fun so don’t take this cache so serious. I hope you all enjoy the experience of the fun and misery that this cache has to offer. If people will follow the guidelines listed above, then EVERYONE can enjoy this cache. Please be respectful and have fun.

Let the games begin!!!

P.S. The original was up for about 8 days and I know for a fact that a ton of people searched the area. A total of 4 people logged a DNF. Now I’m not saying I have logged a DNF every time and I know everyone has their own pattern of when they DNF. So, another reason for adding some fun to this cache is so everyone can enjoy it. We all enjoy reading the logs and I want people to share their experience here. This is a wicked evil cache and many won’t find it but I hope you will have some fun to share along the way. I have spent a considerable amount of time and aggravation on this project, so please don’t be shy with the logs ok. I will now step off my soapbox LOL!

P.S.S. Have you guys ever heard of a trail camera?

Happy caching!
