Geocache Description:

Another Seventh Day

Cache page updated March 2022

This cache replaces GCJQQG, an older cache that had to be archived. We really enjoyed that cache and like the previous CO, we wanted anyone who had to be here, to have the opportunity to take a minute to smile during a trying time. Please show respect while visiting the hospital. We hope you enjoy.

*** DO NOT attempt at night!!! ***
One spot you will need to visit is not accessible after dark.

This is a multi-stage cache. Stages 1-6 involve gathering the coords for the final; stage 7 is the actual cache and is located at N28 34.ABC W081 21.DEF.

PLEASE NOTE: All coords (except the final) are approximate!!! They were taken inside a building. They may or may not be completely accurate. Your GPS may not even work inside the hospital. You will want to have the instructions on the cache page with you. If you have a smart phone, you should be ok. If not, then hopefully all the info will fit into your GPS, or you may want to print the cache page just in case.

Another Seventh Day

Our adventure begins at the Main Entrance of Florida Hospital Orlando (N28 34.467 W081 22.196 - initial coords). Enter the Main Lobby and take an immediate right. Walk over to the art work dedicated to the Ginsburgs (N28 34.462 W081 22.192). Cool looking isn’t it? See the Fibonacci? Look carefully at the ending panel of glass. How many times do you see the word “FAITH” in English? (Answer = F)

Continue in the same direction down the corridor to the escalators on the right (N28 34.436 W081 22.194). Hop on the Up escalator and quickly turn around. Notice the large picture in front of you. How many human beings are in the picture? (Answer = B) When you reach the top, take the escalator back down to the main floor. OK. OK. So you don’t have to ride the escalator to get this clue. We just thought it would be more fun that way!

Now head back the way you came. Go past the main lobby and turn left towards the Walt Disney Pavilion (follow signs) in the Children’s Hospital area. Just past the nurse’s station and the “Welcome” sign, veer to the left (N28 34.490 W081 22.231). Bet you smile!!! Go past Baloo and find Flounder. How may fish do you see? (Don’t forget the ones on the floor!) BTW – did you notice the “jewels” set into the wall behind Baloo? How many jewels are there? Add 1 for good measure. (Answer = D) Do not include the fish count. We don’t care about that number. We just wanted you to see the back area.

Go back out pass the nurse’s station and take your 2nd left towards the chapel. This will take you by the big fish tank. Stop and check it out. No, you don’t have to get any info here. It’s just cool to look at. Continue down to the end of the hallway and take a left at the hallway just before the entrance to the Chapel (N28 34.520 W081 22.210) .

Welcome to “The Seventh Day”. Great sculpture isn’t it!?! This was the starting point for the original cache. The coords for that cache were determined by looking at the sculpture and the pictures on the wall behind you. Look carefully at the sculpture. How many wings are there? (Answer = E) And YES, any creature that can fly has 2 wings!

We hope you have enjoyed the “distant view” of this piece and would like to see it close up, because you will have to go into the Healing Garden for this next one. Look at the sculpture again. Do you see the walkway that goes off in both directions? Only one side will get you into to the Healing Garden. Guess which one. We had to!

Once you have entered the Healing Garden check out the sculpture one more time and MAKE SURE YOU SAW ALL THE WINGED CREATURES. Then go to N28 34.525 W081 22.205. Your GPS should work here! lol. You should now be at one of the most unique dedications we have ever come across. Pay particular attention to the left side. Can you figure out what it represents? Count the “beats”. (Answer = C)

Leave the garden area via the grey steps, turn right as you enter the building and then turn right again at the next hallway (back towards the chapel). Our last stop is at the metal work in the window display on your right just before the chapel doors (N28 34.518 W081 22.190). Is this the "Tree of Life"? How many butterflies are near the tree? Do NOT count the one off to the left flying around by itself. (Answer = A)

The final is within walking distance of the hospital. There is also parking nearby. GZ is located near what can be a HIGH muggle area at times. Container is camoed and placed not to stick out, but a trained geo-eye should be able to spot it. Be gentle at GZ - "only GOD can make one!"

Have Fun, BYOP & Happy Caching!!!
