Geocache Description:

A 60ml camo micro vial bigger than a film pot situated near to the viewing point on the public footpath sandwiched between the North Norfolk Railway and Killing Heath Holiday Park.

I have marked this as suitable for strollers as I have pushed a stroller from here to the station. The path is not great in places though so I wouldn't recommend taking a wheelchair. However that may just be possible. Also please remember that this is near a suitable habitat for adders so don't go sticking your hands in any dark holes!

Here you will find a great view of the Weybourne and the sea from the edge of the North Norfolk Railway a few hundred yards from Weybourne Station.

Parking is best done at the station and heading south down the road for a few yards before heading west on the public footpath.

Once at GZ you will find 3 viewing posts. Each with a hole in the top which will show you a landmark in the area below.

View Hole 1 - Priory

Weybourne Parish Church should be the clearest feature through this hole, but you can see the smaller ruin to the right. This is the site of the Augustinian priory which monks from the West Acre in West Norfolk built around 1200AD. The ruin you can see is a Saxo-Norman tower which was built by parishioners.

View Hole 2 - Weybourne Beck

Through the hole you should be able to see the winding course of Weybourne Beck. This small stream has an extremely pure water source - so much so that Trout are present down stream. See if you can find the natural spring which feeds the Beck down the path to your right.

View Hole 3 - Weybourne Mill

The watermill was built around 1729 and has not been in operation since the 1930's. The Beck's natural course was diverted to supply the millpond and to power the waterwheel

To find the cache look 5 metres to your left. You will see a twin-trunked tree. See hint for more information.
