This cache was first placed in response to the Curse of the FTF GeoCoin. Having innocently found GC5AHRN minutes after publication as it was only 750m from our home, we discovered that the geocoin and find came with certain responsibilities. The cache is placed along a new cycle path opened in 2014 which is part of a South Dublin and DLR Council initiative to facilitate cycling from Tallaght ot Dundrum.
The site was an existing undeveloped road reservation from Grange Road to Grange Manor Road and is very popular with cyclists and pedestrains travelling to and from Nutgrove Shopping Centre and the Dundrum Town Centre. The cyclepath and lighting was developed to a high standard, but to date the planned landscaping has remained unfinished and it's already covered with weeds and nettles (none at GZ!) only a few months after completion.
There is absolutely no access from Barton Road Extension so please access the cycle path from Park Avenue (off the Grange Road) or use the nearer Trailhead Waypoint provided from the Nutgrove side near Grange Manor Road.
Beware of muggles and use maximum stealth. The Cache Owners live 30 metres from GZ and will be watching!
When first placed, the cache contained the Curse of the FTF geocoin, a euro coin, loom band, keyring, pencil sharpener and a jewel but now is log only...BYOP!
