Caldbeck is a quaint village in the heart of the Northern Lakes offering spectacular views of the surrounding fells and further afield. I have chosen this hiding place as it holds many fond and important memories for our family. It was a firm favourite of a great man who loved this place dearly and was an inspiration to introducing us to the not only the Lake District, but also into hiking/climbing and a general love of the outdoors.
The cache itself is a small clip/lock box containing a range of goodies and Travel Buddies chosen by our little ones and is hidden on a side road on the entry/exit to the village. It should be a straight forward find and you can either park in the village and walk to GZ or pull in for a cache and dash! It is suitable for all ages, but please do take care as there are a few nettles/thistles around.
When you find this, don't forget to look up and take in the stunning views! Happy caching.
