This cache has been archived.

Sweet-Sour: I think it time to put this event to bed.
A great time was had by all that attended.
A special thanks to Brother Colin and the Jones Gang for the caches that they placed for the event.
See you all next year.
Happy Caching

Geocache Description:

Starting at 10am Saturday 24th going through to Monday 26th January 2015 @ The Gunalda Showgrounds ,
There are Toilets and hot showers, Tables and shelters.

Camping will be permitted from Friday 23nd to Monday 26th January, if you wish to stay longer, please let me know when you will be arriving and how long you will be staying, and also if you require meals at the Pub in your"Will Attend" Log.

Geocachers from anywhere are most welcome, more the better.

Don't forget that this is country, phone reception is not the best, BRING YOUR GPS.

This event is primarly for the new Geocachers in the Gympie Region to meet up and learn the finer points about Geocaching. Like the last one, I hope that the oldies will pair up with a Newbie and willingly give some coaching.

There will be several FTF draws for the newbies on Saturday, Sunday and Monday, placed by the winners of the last event in Gympie.
Cache placement is open to anyone, please pick a day during the event for release and ask the reviewer for release on the evening of that day.

Anyone placing a cache, please contact me with the details, so we don't overlap, and the info can be given out on the day to the Geocaching Community attending.

Anyone with under 100 will qualify for the FTF draw

For those camping over the weekend, there will be a small fee of $7.00 per night per person

BYO food and drinks, there is a general store and the local pub has meals, all within walking distance.
There will be a BBQ available during the event.

On Monday 26th January, there will be a CITO Event GC5FNK7 to clean up the Show Grounds and the nearby area.
Here is the link. (visit link)

There is plenty of good fresh tank water available.

I hope to have this as an annual event.
