Geocache Description:

The Allegheny Rangers love a good Road Trip!  As we were moving down the highway, we started discussing our favorite Road Trip songs.  Once we started a list, we came up with our favorites quickly.  So what better way to celebrate good music than to place a series of caches?  Here are our 63 favorites as selected by the crew.   Complete the series and we will even send you a token to remember your trip!  No order or ranking to the songs...just enjoy the ride :)

Jacksboro Highway is a song by John Mayall & the Bluesbreakers, a pioneering English blues band, led by singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist John Mayall.  The single is off the 70th Birthday Concert album, and is a live Electric blues video recording of John Mayall & the Bluesbreakers to celebrate Mayall's 70th Birthday. Recorded in Liverpool, England on July 19 2003, the concert was notable as it featured Eric Clapton as a guest.  The song’s lyrics describe a particularly interesting and perhaps dangerous section of highway in Texas…the kind of place you hope you don’t end up when you take that short cut for one more cache.

Blues music and caching go together like peas and carrots.  smiley

Caches are along the back roads in and around Clarion County.   There should be ample space to pull off the road, but be careful to consider traffic...even on these quiet stretches.
