George lives in one of the three maritime provinces of Canada called Prince-Edward-Island (P.E.I.) on the Atlantic coast.
P.E.I. is Canada's smallest province in both land area and population. The name "Garden of the Gulf" refers to the pastoral scenery and lush agricultural lands throughout the province. Another name is the "potato province", because one third of Canada's total potato production comes from P.E.I.
George is a pilot, an air navigation consultant, a ham (amateur radio operator) and a very good friend of us. We first got in contact with him, when caching in Canada. Now we are happy he comes visiting us.

George lebt auf Prince-Edward-Island (P.E.I.), einer der drei maritimen Provinzen Kanadas an der Atlantikküste.
P.E.I. ist Kanadas kleinste Provinz, sowohl was die Fläche als auch die Bevölkerungszahl betrifft. Wegen ihrer üppigen Vegetation wird die Insel auch "Garten des Golf" genannt. Ein anderer Name ist "Kartoffel Provinz", weil dort ein Drittel der kanadischen Kartoffeln wächst.
George ist Pilot, Berater für Luftfahrtnavigation, Funkamateur und ein sehr guter Freund von uns. Wir haben ihn kennengelernt, als wir selber in Kanada gecacht haben. Jetzt freuen wir uns auf seinen Besuch.
