Geocache Description:

UPDATE:(4/8/03) I've been to this site several times in the last few months on reports that the Cache is missing or gone. Each time I go to Maintenance the Cache I discover that the Cache is intact and fine, However, people are finding the old cache site. The original site did well for a while until it was found and vandalized, it then prompted me to find a more secure site within the graveyard to place the NEW cache. The directions below will direct you to the current site of the Cache and I think you should print this page out for your quest. The OLD cache was discovered by someone who didn't read any updates and went searching with the old directions AFTER I relocated the Cache. Good Luck!!!>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Items Required: Bug Spray, long pants(bushy and overgrown areas), Garden gloves. GPS should take you to a Grave Stone with the name 'EZEKIEL W. EVANS Died Nov. 23, 1871' Four feet directly behind the printed side of the marker is a big bleached out old tree. To the Northern side of the tree, towards the denser brush is an "X" made of roofing nails (now rusted) at about 4-5 foot up from the ground, directly below it the Cache is concealed in a box, underneath a slate stone, hidden beneath the fallen tree, opposite the "X". There is a gouge in the fallen tree and directly below it is the cache, under the slate stone and brush. I made the pull up handle out of an old tree limb. The Cache is a small Rumbermaid container, PLEASE!!! make sure it's tightly sealed when you put the cache back. (Ive had problems with water leakage) CONCEAL IT WELL! Pull out any dirt that swamps the box when you open it and make sure the lid fits tightly back on before you conceal. Cover with brush, branches or whatever is available, The area is visited by kids.>>>>>>>>>>>>>> (Ive been asked, "How I found this place?"): I came across this Site late one night when I was young with a bunch of local kids and we held a moonlight Seance. The group told a story of a Evil old farmer who lived back in the 1800's who use to chop off the heads of anyone with a sycle who came near the grave of his beloved wife. I wont tell you the name of the grave marker but just dont try this at night, unless you have a spare pair of drawers! LOL. Have Fun!!! NOTE: PARENTS PLEASE WATCH YOUR CHILDREN CAREFULLY ON THE THE PLAYGROUND EQUIPMENT, ESPECIALLY THE 'MERRY-GO-ROUND' SAFETY FIRST IS #1 FOR ALL CACHE HUNTERS. Good Luck! Brad
