"Look!" I said, "A good spot for one of these fancy micros I've been wanting to place!" It was such a good spot that the first micro will not be seen for a long time. Well, after a tenuous grip with one hand and the other using sticks to try to pluck it out, and even trying a duct tape tipped stick, it was lost to me. I just knew it. So, I put a different one in its place.
Legend says that if you listen in this very spot, you can hear the faint cry of a lost micro. Its fresh, crisp log, never to be signed! Its gasket to remain intact and not drop off after rotting mostly away!
We're calling this series the Balance Rock Loop (BRL). This mountain bike/hiking trail in Balance Rock State Park is the perfect hike! The flora and fauna is magnificent, and there is just the right amount of flat and hilly terrain to make it a truly enjoyable way to see the upper reaches of the park. This path will bring you out near the top of Potter Mountain Rd. A short walk up the road will bring you to a heavily used ATV trail that will loop you back around to where you started. Do be aware that this trail is frequented by mountain bikes, and they tend to sneak up on you!
