From the car park follow the blue route markers (clyde view) this route goes in a figure eight and depending on which way you go at the bottom you'll pass the chinese ponds either on your way up or down. It is recommended to stop and have a wander around them and its safe for the dogs to have a little dip if they want. There is also a picnic table here if you want to stop for a wee bite.
The views are, even in winter (providing its not misty) always worth this walk.
