Geocache Description:

Powell Stackhouse Park is 277 acres of land in Lower Yoder Township, Westmont, and Brownstown boroughs. This natural, wooded, deep ravine was a gift from the Cambria Iron Company to the City of Johnstown on March 2, 1931. The Park is open to the public year-round with special programs for the entire family scheduled seasonally. We hope you will participate in the many planned events. Tax-deductible contributions to the Park can be made to:
Powell Stackhouse Park Endowment Fund
Community Foundation of Greater Johnstown
U.S. Bank Building, Suite 606
Johnstown, Pa 15901.

Best Access is from the Westmont area. Leaving Johnstown on State Route 271 South. When you see the Welcome to Westmont stone marker you are getting close. Look for the street that turns to the right at the Middle School marked Diamond Blvd. you can park at the school lot then hike from there. There are numerous trails that go through the park. All you have to do is trust your gps. When you find the cache try the hike uphill and see the Sunnehanna Golf Course. That is where the famous Sunnehanna Amateur golf tournament is played.
