Dieser Geocache wurde im Rahmen einer Abschlussarbeit an der Justus-Liebig-Universität Gießen für die Studienlandschaft Schwingbachtal entwickelt. Er ist sowohl für Studierende als auch für alle anderen Geocacher gedacht, welche Interesse haben ein wenig zu rätseln und dabei etwas über den Schwingbach und seine Umgebung zu erfahren.
► Die erste Station liegt bei den Koordinaten N50° 30.078' E 008° 32.983'. Dort werdet ihr eine Schautafel mit dem Titel "Elemente einer Kulturlandschaft" finden. Um an die Koordinaten für Station 2 zu kommen müsst ihr ein kleines Rätsel lösen. Es befindet sich auf der Schautafel, doch steht diese hier nicht im VORDERgrund 
.
Das Lösungswort ist _ _ _ _ _ _ . Dieses benötigt ihr, um den 2ten Teil des Rätsels lösen zu können!
♦ Die Koordinaten für Station 2 sind: N A0° B0.C9B' E 00D° BB.B0E'.
A = 1. Buchstabe des Lösungswortes subtrahiert mit 18.
B = 2. Buchstabe des Lösungswortes addiert mit 2.
C = Die Quersumme des 3. Buchstabens des Lösungswortes ohne Null.
D = Die Quersumme des 4. Buchstabens des Lösungswortes subtrahiert mit 2.
E = 5. Buchstabe des Lösungswortes subtrahiert mit 3.
So, wenn ihr die Koordinaten in euer GPS eingegeben habt, geht es weiter zu Station 2...
► Um an die Koordinaten für Station 3 zu gelangen solltet ihr mal vor Ort schauen, wie ihr folgende Fragen beantworten könnt:

F = Bis zu welchem Jahr soll der Schwingbach auf einen allgemein guten Zustand verbessert werden? Nun nehme die Quersumme dieser Zahl und addiere sie mit 1 um auf „F“ zu kommen!
G = Wie viele Ziele gibt es, laut der Tafel, bei der Verbesserung der biologischen Gewässergüte und Gewässerstrukturgüte? Multipliziere die Anzahl der Ziele mit 2 und du erhältst „G“.
H = Wie ist der Name des Gewässers, welches dem Tal, in dem du dich gerade befindest seinen Namen gegeben hat? Die Anzahl der Buchstaben des Lösungswortes ist „H“
Habt ihr die Koordinaten? Dann gebt sie in euer GPS ein und weiter gehts zu Station 3...
► Als kleiner Hinweis zu dieser Station: Er ist nicht direkt der den ihr hier sucht, doch sein Nachname sollte euch auf die Spur bringen. Er sagte einst „Das Studium und allgemein das Streben nach Wahrheit und Schönheit ist ein Gebiet, auf dem wir das ganze Leben lang Kinder bleiben dürfen“. Na, wisst ihr wer gemeint ist? Dann haltet mal Ausschau!
Wenn ihr "ihn" gefunden habt, dann habt ihr auch die Koodinaten für Station 4. Los geht's!
► Nun seid ihr wieder an einem Punkt, an dem einige Fragen zu beantworten sind um an die Koordinaten des Finals zu gelangen:

I = Nenne den Fachbegriff für „Nährstoffeintrag“. Wie viele Buchstaben hat das gesuchte Wort? Berechne die Quersumme aus der Anzahl und du bekommst „I“.
J = Wie häufig kommt das Wort „ Fließgewässer“ auf dieser Schautafel vor? Addiere die Anzahl mit 2 und du erhältst „J“.
K = Die Anzahl der Ortschaften,auf der Übersichtskarte der Rundwege, welche mit ihrem Namen beschriftet sind.
Wenn ihr alles richtig beantworten konntet, habt ihr jetzt die Koordinaten um das Final zu suchen..

E = 5th letter of der solution word subtracted with 3 So, please feed in the coordinates in your GPS and it will navigate you to stage 2… ► To get the coordinates to stage 3, you should look on site, how you can answer the following questions: (N 50° 30. 0FG‘ E 008° 33.H0) F= Up to what year the Schwingbach should be improved on a generally good condition? Now take the transverse sum of that number and add it to 1 to get to "F"! G= How many targets are there, according to the panel, in improving the biological water quality and water quality structure? Multiply the number of goals with two and you get "G". H = What is the name of the water body, which has given it’s name to the valley in which you are currently in? The number of letters of the solution word is "H" Do you have the coordinates? So feed them in your GPS and search for stage 3! ► As a side note to this station: He's not the one you are seeking here, but his last name (in German) should bring you to the track. He once said: “The pursuit of truth and beauty is a sphere of activity in which we are permitted to remain children all our lives.” Well, you know who is meant? Then look for „him“. ;) If you have found "him", then you also have the coordinates for stage 4. Let's go! ► Now you are at a point again, where some questions are to answer to get to the coordinates of the final stage: (N 50° 30.0IJ‘ E 00J° 33.00K‘) I= Tell the technical term for "nutrient input "(in German). How many letters has the searched word? Calculate the transverse sum of the number and you get "I" . J= How often you see the word "Fließgewässer" on this chart? Add up the number by 2 and you get "J". K= How many villages are titled with their names on the map? If all your answers are right, you can search for the final stage now. Have fun.
