Geocache Description:

Number one of a new series of "Bridge" caches, continuing on from my Bridge series located between Katherine and Darwin NT which are kindly maintained by Lumpyjrb.

 

Cache is a small container with log and pencil and room for very small swaps.


The Harold Mair Bridge Dean Street.

Harold David Mair OAM was born in Albury in 1919. The former RAAF Officer represented the people of Albury on the City Council from 1968 to 1978, which included two years as Mayor. He then became the State member for Albury in the NSW Parliament until 1988. In this role he is fondly remebered for his dedicated, strong and persistant representation of the citizens of Albury.

Opened by Albury City Mayor Cr. Amanda Duncan-Strelec on August 23 2007.
