It's that time of year to once again get out and get your cache on! This geocache is part of Groundspeak's 7 Souvenirs of August promotional. When you find at least one Traditional cache; one Multi-Cache; one Mystery cache; one Virtual, Wherigo, Webcam, or Letterbox Hybrid cache; attend a CITO event or find an EarthCache; and attend an Event cache, Mega-Event, or Giga-Event, you receive a unique virtual souvenir for your geocaching profile. If you find all six souvenirs, you unlock a special seventh souvenir for your profile. See the Related Web Page for more information.
Just like last year, most of those who have lived in Yuma for a little while may be a bit cached out... Especially if you've found anything that's non-traditional. It's one thing to seek a traditional cache, but how often are you able to find a Wherigo or Multi-Cache? Not only that, but it's hot outside. Like, stupidly hot. Like, surface of the Sun hot. Like... well, you get the idea. So what better way to earn your souvenirs than to have new and easy opportunities to do so? This is the Sonoran Summer Geocaching series. The aim of this series is to give us Yumans the opportunity to find traditional and non-traditional caches alike without putting up with the oppressive pizza oven we call the atmosphere for too long.
