Geocache Description:

This is a very easy geocache, deliberately designed to be easy and exciting to find, hoping to inspire a younger generation of geocachers!

The geocache was placed by members of The Friday Club, an open community group for home educating children and their families. We love the arboretum and think it has the best play park, splashpad and lake walks in the West Midlands. We placed the geocache next to the play area, but far enough away from onlooking muggles to stay secure.

If you come to find our Geocache in the summer months, bring a change of clothes for the children, because the splashpad is very tempting to little toes on a warm, sunny day. The cache itself is easy to find, hidden underneath well kept bushes  and carpeted by woodchip. It is a large cache and has lots of exciting "cracker toys"  to swap. There is also a log book to write your name in. Please log your discoveries online too, as we have lots of children waiting with anticipation to see who finds it next!

If you are coming by car, it is best to park in Buchanan Avenue or The Broadway and walk down towards the play area. You should be able to find the cache hidden behind the disabled toilets at the back of the small bowling hut.  When you have found it, it is recommended you have a walk towards the lake, to see the newly completed bandstand, boat house, and to check on the development of the new visitor centre too.
