There is just under a mile of well-maintained trails here, finding this cache will require no bushwhacking, it is trail side. Please be sure to check out the Migration Overlook above Audubon Pond, we've provided the waypoint on the Warbler Trail.
If you seek a quiet retreat from the hustle and bustle of the nearby metropolis of Marblehead, we recommend a visit to the Marblehead Neck Wildlife Sanctuary! The Orientation Panel at the main entrance offers a posted trail map, and the Related Web Page above takes you to the Mass Audubon web site for a downloadable map.
One of the rules for this enclave is "refrain from running." Otherwise this spot is very kid-friendly, treat it like being inside a library. Co-cache owner huntmhd and his daughter are quite familiar with this pretty pond and the trails around it. Behind the pond are trails that have a slight elevation and some roots, terrain rating 2 compared to the 1.5 rating everywhere else here. First-To-Find honors to Geo-Knot, who helped this cache spread its wings and take off. Well done!
