Geocache Description:


These old stone bridges are slowly crumbling from existence. While this one is not large in stature or historical significance I could not help but marvel at its simple but solid stone work. This tiny bridge eased the travel of many horse and cart possibly as far back as 150 years ago or more. These wagons would have been traveling to the nearest mill. Just down the road is the historic Lehmans Mill built in 1869 for Henry F. Lehman with the surrounding houses dating back to the 1830's! This small stream powered the mill and made it the oldest continuously operated mill in all of Washington county. No longer in operation today but it is still the most intact mill complex in the county. It is now home to the Lehmans Mill shop where visitors can stop in to by home decor and antiques. All this relating back to a small stream that flows beneath this humble bridge.... The cache you seek is a small log only container so BYOP. This is not a real busy road but it is small with an unguarded stream so children should be closely supervised. Close proximity to goats and ducks it would be best to keep pets leashed or in the car. First to find honors go to gadabt, found in 30 minutes!
