Crofton Lake can be accessed from either Osborne Bay Road via Crofton Lake Main, or if you do not like hoofing it on a logging road you can come in from Crofton proper from the watertowers at the top of Roberts Road. It is about a 30 minute hike to the cache site.
The Crofton Lake Trail starts at the man-made outflow by the Southern end of the dam. You have to climb down and up to cross the channel, it looks harder than it really is. From here the trail is easy to follow and is pretty much level.
Stage One is a micro container and it contains nothing but the coordinates for the Final Stage. The Final Stage is very close, it will be so obvious you probably won't even need to program your GPS to find it.
You may follow the trail around the lake, it's a 30 minute walk-in-the-park. There are some wet spots on the North side in the rainy season.
