The Charming Creek Walkway is an awesome walk that follows an old private railway line put in by the Watson brothers in 1914 to bring out coal and timber to Ngakawau.
Its a beautiful walk up the Ngakawau Gorge which goes through tunnels over bridges.
There amazing views of the surrounding forest and bluffs of the Ngakawau Gorge and the magnificent Mangatini Falls.
Cache is a small container placed at the side of the track, double bagged. BYOP.
Will take about 3hrs return.
Weather is changeable so dress accordingly.
There are quite a few caches along the walkway which will entice you to get.
