The National Taipei University of Education Affiliated Experimental Elementary School (TPUEEES)(國立台北教育大學附設實驗國民小學) is located He-Ping East Road in Taipei City. The school is located near the Technology Building Information Science Exhibition Center, National Taipei University of Education, and National Taiwan University.
The National Taipei University of Education Affiliated Experimental Elementary School was established in 1907. It was originally known as Da Long Tong Da-An Branch Elementary School. The name of the school has changed several times mostly to correspond the name changes of TPUE. The school was lastly renamed National Taipei University of Education Affiliated Experimental Elementary School in 2005.
This cache was designed and placed on my son's four year old birthday, as we planned to let him starting his education at the kindergarden in NTUEEES. However, due to some reasons, he ended up going somewhere else. However, if you are taking your kids here on the weekend, don't forget to take them inside the NTUEEES. The friendly security guards are very nice, my son even get free fish food from them to feed the fish in the little pond inside the school. The playground is also great for the kids.
I named this cache NTUE JR. because NTUEEES is the affiliated elementary school of NTUE (I have another cache there), . The other reason for the name is that this cache is a simpler version of the UV multi-cache at NTUE.
Stage 1:
If you look through the main gate of NTUEEES, you will see a building right behind it (there is a small roundabout in between). There are square decorative pattern (made from concrete and bricks) on the front brick wall just above the corridor, but under the windows. How many of those square patterns are there? the answer is p.
站在門口,隔著小學大門可以看到小圓環後面的建築物,中間的走廊上方,窗戶下方,有正方形磚塊和混泥土形成的形狀在磚牆上,正方形的數量是p
Stage 2:
Go to the skywalk on the left (if you are facing the road from NTUEEES). On the same side of the primary school, the skywalk has two stairs going EAST/WEST direction, you can find dot markings representing two numerical digits, a and b. Only one set out of these two is marked with UV-sensitive paint, and this is what you need. The other set is a "decoy". Get your UV light out to verify.
Where are the numbers : You will need to go under the stair, facing the stair and look up (SEE SPOILER PHOTOS). The number is located (1) on the surface facing down, (2) around the center of the stair (width wise), and (3) about 2 meters from the ground.
How to get a and b : Each number is represented by 2 sets of dot markings separated by the center ridge structure. Each dot marking is about the size of a green pea. Count the number of dots, the number on the left is a, and the number on the right is b.
Final Stage:
N 25° 01.(10 x p - 10 x a + 504)
E 121° 32.(20 x p + 12 x b + 254)
The path to find this cache shouldn't be more than a few hundred meters. You will need to bring pen and a UV light source! Please do not post information and photos showing the final cache and its location!
This cache is recommended for "day time hunting", point your UV light to the correct number will still make it glow bright under the stair. If you prefer higher difficulty cache, make it a night cache.
