Grosvenor Boys’ High School was established in 1962, after the then Grosvenor High School became too small for the growing number of students on the Bluff. It provides a good holistic education for boys primarily from the greater Bluff area, but also to boys beyond.
In keeping with its past standards and values, Grosvenor Boys’ aims to prepare its students for life. High academic standards prevail, and a healthy extra-curricular programme offers a wide range of activities for boys to explore. Productions alternate between Grosvenor Boys’ and its sister school, Grosvenor Girls’, encouraging healthy co-operation across the sexes.
All Grade 8’s start the International Computer Drivers’ License, which opens many doors beyond school to those who show the persistence needed to succeed.
Recently the Old Boys re-established themselves as a dynamic force, developing a close involvement with the school. They are not only helping to develop sport at the school but also reaching out to boys in need of personal help to grow as humans of worth, in spite of their misfortunes.
