Geocache Description:

A series of caches on our favourite part of the A9 between Perth and Carrbridge. Set at places where you can stop, have a rest & enjoy the scenery.

Please note we have labelled these caches for north or south bound so that you do not need to cross the A9 to reach them. The exception is Tufty's Playtime at Ballinluig which can be accessed either way thanks to a flyover.

Could not miss out this delightful place  - there are other caches placed here if you have time to stay a while. Great place for picnics and walks.

Welcome to the Hermitage - Part of the Big Tree Country.
Managed by the National Trust for Scotland.
Many thanks to Ben Notley, Property Manager, North Perthshire Properties for giving permission to place this cache.
Entrance is free to the Hermitage though non-National Trust Members will have to pay a small car parking fee. As well as the main car parks at the bottom there is a small car park available up the the old military road which runs parallel to the A9.

Built between 1728 and 1730 by General Wade the military road ran from Dunkeld up to Inverness - parts of his route are still intact though other parts have been obliterated by the construction of the modern A9.

You are looking for a small tube in a cammo bag.
