Wee ZZZs on the A9 (S) - Castle View Traditional Cache

A series of caches on our favourite part of the A9 between Perth and Carrbridge. Set at places where you can stop, have a rest & enjoy the scenery.

Please note we have labelled these caches for north or south bound so that you do not need to cross the A9 to reach them. The exception is Tufty's Playtime at Ballinluig which can be accessed either way thanks to a flyover.

Just a view at this one over to the nearby Blair Castle which is very impressive, especially when illuminated at night.  It is the ancestral home of the Clan Murray, and was historically the seat of the Duke of Atholl. The castle also provides the garrison for the Atholl Highlanders, the private army of the Duke of Atholl, noted as the only legal private army in Europe. The Castle and the Atholl Estates were used in the 2008 reality television series Conquer the Castle.
