Labon has been caching since 2010 and this is our first geocache placement. This is a traditional travel bug cache. This structure was originally a gift from our daughters and was once used to feed our feathered friends. It was brought to life again this summer as a special cache of family memories. This traditional travel bug cabin cache was placed in memory of our dear cousin Marlene who welcomed travelers to her property when lost, had vehicle problems or just needed to rest. Over the years, Marlene gained life long friends from all over North America and as far away as Australia. Since Marlene's passing in 2011 her family continues to maintain this historic border property and carries on the tradition of welcoming travelers. Take note of the older buildings on the property as these buildings were once part of the original border crossing buildings. Please say hi to Dolores or Noelle if you happen to catch either working in the yard.
