Geocache Description:

The cache has been hidden a short distance off the WHITE trail in "Farrington Woods" West Side Open Space.

Old stagecoach roads and wood roads line the land to form a unique trail system.  You will have breathtaking views of Sanford Pond, the remains of a small cabin (with only the foundation and chimney/cooking pit at the waters edge) and all the local flora & fauna while hiking to your destination.

Don't forget to grab the other caches while here: JosieWallace (GC4R50T).

**Wallace was my 100th cache find since joining and this cache I am placing in honor of that. Thank you Old Bet for showing me this beautiful hiking area. **

"The Farrington property 192 acres off Mill Plain Road on the city's west side Creates the watershed surrounding Sanford Pond, which is the headwaters of the Still River. Once belonged to Isabelle Farrington Sold by her to Back O' Beyond Inc., a private corporation in Brewster, N.Y., that owns Morefar, an exclusive golf course on the New York-Connecticut border. Purchased in October, 2010, by Danbury for $1 million in city funds and a $650,000 grant from the state Department of Environmental Protection. Now the second-largest city-owned open-space parcel in Danbury, after the 722-acre Tarrywile Park. "

Congratulations to Lifeguardally for the FTF!
