Hidden a bit beyond the Taylor Meadows campgrounds, a good 9-1/2 km hike one way from the parking lot at Rubble Creek. It is a good hike, and this is by no means the end of it - continue on for hours, to Black Tusk, Panorama Ridge, Garibaldi Lake itself, or many other places I am sure. There are a few caches up here, not enough if you ask me, so I decided to carry one along and place it for your finding pleasure.
Be prepared for a good go -- this is by no means easy. It is a tough hike and your legs will tell you so quickly. There are day use shelters at Taylor Meadows and Garibaldi Lake campground. There are also campgrounds at Helm Creek and Cheakamus Lake; for camping there is a overnight fee, $10 per night at the time of the placement of the cache, payable online or at the parking lot (exact cash required).
This cache might be best done late June to late September. Thereafter --- who knows what kind of conditions you might be entering. Check the conditions prior if you are not sure.
The cache is easily gotten from the path, no need to venture off the path at all. The coordinates will bring you to a single tree on the path, at the base of it is a well weathered fallen tree with a hollowed out trunk. The large brown container with a green lid is within, and the entrance to the hollow is now covered by 2 rocks that really have no other purpose than to conceal my cache.
