Jonkershoek Rain Gauge Traditional Cache

A small geocache hidden at a rain gauge on the trail to Victoria Peak at +/-1221m ASL. So long as you are on the right trail, you will not miss this one.

This can be considered a "bonus" cache while making your way along this tough trail up towards Victoria Peak.

Usually I wouldn't place such a small cache out in the middle of nowhere, but you are likely to stop here for a few minutes anyway, so why not include a cache in your rest time?

Entrance Fees:

Entrance fees to Jonkershoek Nature Reserve is free if you have a Wildcard, otherwise it is R40 per an adult, and R20 for children (3 - 13 years old). Gate times are 07h30 - 18h00 from 1 April to 31 October, and 07h30 - 19h00 from 1 November to 31 March.
