Geocache Description:

The geocache is a small clip-lock container with room for travel bugs, geocoins and small swaps.

***** CONGRATULATIONS TO AJ45 ON FTF! *****

This geocache is one of a series that are all located a few metres from the network of paths that cross St Ford Links, a woodland that lies between Shell Bay and the Cocklemill Burn; the paths are accessible on foot, by bike or on horseback.  We often walk and cycle through the wood and love the peace and quiet of the area which  is full of wildlife and gives tempting glimpses of the sea through the trees.  Not all the paths through the wood are shown on maps of the area, but they are well-defined on the ground and if you find yourself brashing through the undergrowth there might be an easier way along a path (unless you like brashing through undergrowth of course)!

The current geocaches take you on a route from one end of the wood to the other but we hope to hide more in the future to make a circular walk.  Our recommended most direct order to find the geocaches either this way or in reverse:

One tree hill
In god's country
Bullet the blue sky
Trip through your wires
Exit

The names of the geocaches are taken from songs on U2's album The Joshua Tree because the first location we looked at brought to mind the title of the song One Tree Hill and after that some other cache locations seemed to fit in well with other song titles - some didn't so we just picked a title anyway!
