This cache is accessible after a long hike from Whistler Village or by buying a sightseeing ticket for about $55 and riding the lifts up. Personally, I recommend making a full adventure out of it by taking the Whistler Gondola to the Roundhouse, then hiking 10 minutes down to the Peak Express, riding that up to the summit of Whistler Mountain and finding the Whistler Peak cache (GCQB1B). Then, hike down Matthew's Traverse and the Pika trail back to the Roundhouse, finding Plantman_Geocache#9 (GC2100) along the way. Then, take the Peak2Peak Gondola to Blackcomb and find your way to the cache.
There are a number of excellent hikes ranging from 20 minutes to several hours from the Roundhouse, Whistler Peak, and Rendezvous. And, up to about mid-July, you can hike to the 7th Heaven chairlift and ride that up to view the Horstman and Blackcomb Glaciers. A bus ride brings you back to Rendezvous Lodge from the bottom of 7th Heaven.
The container is a medium-sized Tupperware with a logbook, hidden in a stunningly beautiful alpine location. The hiking trail is popular so some stealth may be required. The cache is hidden within two meters of the trail and a few metres from the trail's high point.
Congratulations to Honeybournes for the FTF!!
