Here's one for the history buffs. A tiny pioneer cemetery recently cleaned up, fenced and maintained. A half mile trail will lead you right to the cache with plenty of signs.
Folks that grew up in the area say there were many people buried in this cemetery however only 2 stones are left, a family plot containing two of the three wives of Henry Edmonds. Wooden markers would long since have rotted away and only a few large rocks remain with the two headstones. This easy walking trail off of the existing horsetrail leads you through forest teeming with turkeys, woodpeckers and everything you'd expect to see and in the center of the cemetery sits a gnarly old cedar tree. Quick edit: the cedar tree toppled over in one of the spring storms this year (2023) but the hollow root ball will remain. After counting rings I came up with 100 years!
