This is the new (2014) Alumni House of Fishburne Military School. It began life as a private residence and at one point was aquired by FMS and used as housing for bachelor faculty members. Across the street is the south side of Fishburne. Closest to you, on the bottom is the swimming pool, recently restored. The second floor is the mess hall and kitchen area and on the third floor is the Chapel. At the rear, over the kitchen was the mess steward's quarters. In the school area proper you are looking at the outer wall of the South stoop. Jeremy Irish roomed in one of the rooms his senior year, probably a former faculty officer quarters. I had rooms here my sophomore and senior year - the senior year room 238 was much nicer - it had a sink! The cache container is an ammo can - I hope you enjoy the paint job. There is a nice selection of swag - but remember to trade equal or up. The building closest to the co-ordinates is an active Roman Catholic church, so no caching on Sunday until 1 PM and watch out at other times. Across the other parking lot is now the FMS JrROTC office and class rooms. Formerly it was the FMS library, but before that it was a Carnegie library and is one of the few still standing. A lot of history in a very smalll place. You are welcome to enter the Alumni House and thank the ladies.
The third full weekend in April is Alumni Weekend and there will be plenty of FMS alumni in the area, so it might be best to avoid this cache that weekend. In addition, please return the cache to it's hiding place. It should not be directly visible.
This cache is placed with the permission of the current superintendant - 2014.
Congratulations to dsanders337 for the FTF, apparently soon after publication. Thanks for the kind comments. The log was to have been a FMS notebook, but they don't do that anymore! Major Father Richardson would want me to remind posters that the singular is ALUMNUS.
