Getting There:
First make your way to the Jonkershoek Gate, which is marked as a reference point. There you will obtain a permit for the reserve.
Take the circular route to the parking coordinates. From here you can either go straight up to the cache via the Panorama trail, or go up the Kurketrekker trail and down the Panorama trail.
The Trail:
The route is well-marked and during winter there are many streams where you can fill up your bottles (you still have to bring water along!). During summer however, you will have to bring enough water to last you the whole hike. Weather in the mountains can change very quickly, so always bring along something warm and enough food and water with you.
If you were to do the full Panorama trail it will be about 17km, and will take you about 6 - 8 hours to complete.

The Cache:
The cache is a small-sized, lock n lock container that is covered with camo duct tape. The cache contains a few items of swag, a logbook & ziplock bag and a pencil. Please remember to put the logbook back in the ziplock bag, and make sure the cache is closed on all 4 sides.
Please hide the cache as you found it, and make sure it cannot be seen!
Entrance Fees:
Entrance fees to Jonkershoek Nature Reserve is free if you have a Wildcard, otherwise it is R40 per an adult, and R20 for children (3 - 13 years old). Gate times are 07h30 - 18h00 from 1 April to 31 October, and 07h30 - 19h00 from 1 November to 31 March.
