EN: There is a nice but relatively unknown beach just a short hike from Duba Pelješka, and it has a unique feature – there is a big freshwater lake just meters away from the beach, so the beach actually lies between two water areas – salty sea and freshwater lake. The lake’s level rises and falls, depending on the quantity of rain in this period, in more “humid” periods, it almost connects to the sea via the short channel.
Its inaccessibility for the motor vehicles makes it very secluded, and almost kids-free. Most of the people come with the boat, but it is accessible via coast, just follow the waypoints.
To reach the cache (which is on high ground), just find the little path right from the narrow channel, and climb until you reach the rocky area.
HR: Do jedne lijepe ali relativno nepoznate plaže se može doći nakon kraće šetnje iz Pelješke Dube. Plaža ima jedinstvenu karakteristiku, a to je da se veliko slatkovodno jezero nalazi s druge strane plaže, tako da je plaža u stvari između dvije vode – slanog mora i slatkovodnog jezera. Nivo jezera raste i pada u odnosu na količinu padalina, a za vrijeme “vlažnijih” perioda je skoro pa povezano s morem preko jednog uskog kanala.
Nemogućnost pristupa kopnenim motornim vozilima je čine prilično izoliranom, te skoro bez djece. Većina ljudi dolazi čamcima, ali je pristupačna i kopnenim putem, samo pratite waypointe.
Da bi došli do cachea, koji je na višem terenu, pratite malu stazicu desno od uskog kanala koji iz jezera vodi prema moru, sve dok ne dođete do stjenovitog terena.
