The cache is placed a respectful distance from a very obvious Quaker Burial Ground marker stone. It is not obvious where the burial ground itself is located, but it could have been moved during the nearby flooding of the reservoirs. Clampitt Farm is located about a hundred and fifty yards or so along the track to the left of the stone and is a very overgrown ruin with parts dating back to the 14th century.
The first Quakers lived in mid 17th century England and consider themselves as members of a Christian denomination. Sadly I have not been successful in researching much about this specific burial ground.
Note: Bridlepaths on approach can get muddy in wet weather. Don't wear your Sunday best.
