This was a back-up FSC cache that was not needed, plus it was too hard of terrain for an FSC cache, so now its released for Christmas.
THE CACHE IS NOT AT THE POSTED COORDINATES--GO THERE TO GET INFORMATION ONLY.
CAUTION The first virtual stage is near RR tracks--actually 50 feet above you as you go through a tunnel for South Branch Naaman Creek that has walking path on one side. See the picture. DO NOT CLIMB THE STEEP BANK AND GO TO THE RR TRACKS.
The only close legal parking is at back of Candlelight Diner Theater. Use Parking waypoint.
1. Pick up the trail at end of fenced compost garden area. Use the reference points to guide you.
2. You will go over a small foot bridge ( Where larger bridge is being replaced)
3. Go left when trail ends at a dirt road.
4. Follow road/trail to junction and go right. Head to Powerlines and then Campfire reference (minor stream crossing)
5. Follow better trail all the way toward stream tunnel.
6. Cross the stream and walk through the tunnel to published cords to get needed info:
A. Count number of stones that make up the arch on outside of far side of tunnel
If 15 then A = 3, If 23 then A = 5, If 32 then A = 7
B. Measure width of walkway in tunnel in feet. (Just use your feet)
If 3 ft then B = 1, If 4 ft then B = 3, if 6 ft then B =5
C. Look at construction material of inside of tunnel ceiling
If Stone, then C = 2, If Concrete, C = 4, if Brick, then C = 6
D. Count the number of stones (on walkway side) on top row (about chest high) just below where the arch starts through the entire tunnel length.
If 33 then D =1, If 39 then D= 3, If 44 then D = 5
FINAL CACHE IS AT:
39 D 48.AB1 and 75 D 28.CD3
Check sum: A + B + C + D = 15
Find the cache on your way back. Coords were very jumpy here so a very good hint is given--try to find the cache without the hint unless you need help.
