Geocache Description:

A shortcut is a quicker way, like from the airport terminal there’s a shortcut to the road. It’s also a compound word – that’s combining two smaller words to make one larger word – short & cut = shortcut.

Read the following story about a bullfrog, full of compound words. Then solve the puzzle below to find the cache.

Once there was a Bull_____ who had lost his hop. He looked under a toad_____, but his hop wasn't there. He looked behind a dog__D__, but his hop wasn't there. He looked under a hedge_____, but his hop wasn't there. "Maybe if I jump off something I’ll find my hop,” he said, so he climbed on top of a box_____ and jumped! He landed hard in a patch of grass__G__. They hopped away, but Bull_____ didn’t. “Not high enough,” said Bull_____. “Maybe if someone threw me, I’d go high enough to get my hop back.” “I’ll do it,” said a cow__A__, who loved to throw things, and she picked up Bull_____ and tossed him high and far. Bull_____ tumbled through the air and landed in a field of straw_____. ”Oof!”  Then he tried to hop. He couldn’t. “Oh, woe” said Bull_____. “I’ve still lost my hop!” “Then swim,” said a cat__B__,  from the stream nearby. “I can’t swim,” said Bull_____.  “Then fly,” said a lady_____ who heard Bull_____ complain. “I can’t fly,” said Bull_____.  “You could slither,” said a voice behind Bull_____. He turned counter__F__. On the ground was a rattle_____ looking for breakfast. “A snake!” croaked Bull_____. And up into the air he leaped, higher than a sun__E__ growing near him. And when he came down, he leaped again and again, until he landed on a stage_____. “I’ve found it! I found my hop!” said Bull_____ as he rode out of town far from the snake. “And after all that hopping, I’m so hungry I could eat a horse__C__! And he did.
