Geocache Description:

River red gums abound along the Darling River. Many were cut for firewood for the paddle steamers. This old tree has withstood floods, dry rivers, fires, and people gathering firewood. I chose this cache to show the power and height of the Darling River in flood.

The co ordinates will bring you to the remains of an old paddle steamer that would have burnt wood sourced from river red gums. The cache is NNEast of the old paddle wheel. It is an easy walk. don't go past the fence.
