KalliopeGold and I will be getting a campsite for the weekend. The event will be at our campsite on Saturday afternoon. Cathedral Pines takes no reservations, so the exact location won't be determined until I get there Friday night. Either Friday night or Saturday morning I will announce the exact coordinates and campsite number. We hope that everyone that is willing and able will also decide to camp out for a whole weekend of fun, but for one afternoon everyone is welcome to join the party. As usual, our summer picnic will be potluck. Everyone is encouraged to add to the mix and bring along some food to share - a dish, a side, a snack... we'll need drinks, plates, utensils, etc. too. Whatever you can share will be great. A link to a signup page is provided below. Please use it so that we all can coordinate on supplies. I'll be BBQing, and afterward I'll have a campfire. I've also got some other geo-activities in mind. For the most part, we'll be hanging around near the campsite revisiting old friends and getting to know new ones.

DIRECTIONS TO CATHEDRAL PINES: Take LIE exit 66 north (Sills Rd. aka CR-101). In less than a mile, bear right onto Mill Rd. When you pass Main Street, Mill Road becomes Yaphank Middle Island Road. Continue for another 1.5 miles or so, the park entrance will be on the left (before the traffic light).
Please park at the recommended parking waypoints, not at the campsite. Also, if you want to get comfy, bring your own chair.
