The box is located near a very know tree in this area , the plane tree from Cotroceni bridge.
This amazing tree is said to be here for more then 200 years since the Cuza's reign.
The monographic book that belongs to the club CS Progress Bucharest, written by ValentinCăltuţ, states that "seedlings were brought to Bucharest turntable ambassadors of Prince Alexandru Ioan Cuza" (salvatiparculcuplatani.blogspot.com). Also during Cuza's reign stats the first sewerage of Dâmboviţa river.
Near the tree that is a plate that states (in the past there were 2 plates) :
"It is an exotic tree with heights up to 30 m and the diameters reaching up to 2 m (the plane tree at Cotroceni Bridge). A hybrid species with strong rooting and long lateral branches. The tree is resistant to pollution. "
The place is quiet the only people around are only some fishermans during kind summer days.
