Betula, like Thornapple and the rest of his Cheshire brothers is very shy and has been hiding away from the mortal beings of this world for hundreds of years. They have been watching with interest the actions of their brothers on the Wirral over the past year and seen that it is safe to reveal yourself to some mortal beings through a game called geocaching. Betula has seen that Thornapple has been well received and not at all scared by his encounters with the mortal beings and so, as autumn approaches he has felt it time that he himself should appear.
Betula is Thornapple's brother and so looks very similar to him although slightly smaller. He sits where he is most at home, in his own watchful tree in this quiet little corner of Cheshire.
Let me know if you meet Betula, but keep his whereabouts secret, sign your name on the parchment he carries and hopefully during the future you may be introduced to others of his kind.
Note:
If anyone asks what you are looking for, tell him or her you are searching for Betula, "The Watchful Tree", the fragrance of which will help you to relax and soothe your aches and pains.
Never admit to looking for “Little People, Goblins, Gnomes or Fairies.
Bye for now
