When I was growing up, we used to call this the dirty corner. Back in the days when the Fraserburg road was gravel and barely two cars wide. In the spring, when the road wash a washboard and before the grader was doing its weekly road smoothing, this sharp turn at the bottom of the hill could put your car in the ditch or sometimes the creek, if you had the least bit of inattention. Well, now the road is paved, the corner is no longer as sharp and we no longer get to call the small pebbles bouncing off the bottom of the car popcorn… it is still a good spot for a cache and there might still be trout in the creek. If you are lucky, you may even see deer crossing the road.
